Easter Candy Dish

This was such a easy and fun dish to make. When I saw this, I wanted one...OK, not just wanted one, I NEEDED one. I found it here at kmckay designs I LOVE her stuff! So began the hunt for the "perfect" supplies. A wooden bowl, and a cute ceramic bunny. First I checked the dollar luck...then I turned to my trusty thrift store HOORAY! I found what I was looking for and for both pieces it cost $1.50! I brought them home and went right to work. First I spray painted the bunny and dish white. I waited for them to dry. Those ten minutes seemed like forever. Yes, I can be a little impatient sometimes. After they were dry I mixed up a batch of my very own stain. I took some brown craft paint and mixed in a little water gave it a stir and wa-lah instant stain! I wiped and blotted the stain until it looked the way I wanted,, then I so patiently let it dry, added a cute little bow and...

This is the end result!
I just had to add the candy!

OK...and maybe just a little more...

I really love how it turned out! A perfect place for some easter candy!
